Lions at Tigers
Following the two successful club trips to Northampton Saints the Rugby Lions headed to Welford Road on Saturday night for the top of the table clash between Leicester Tigers and Saracens. First there was the small matter of cramming into the ‘final whistle’ to watch England’s victory over France before heading into the ground for the Tigers game. 22 players from the Minis, juniors, junior girls, Under 17’s and the Lionesses formed the guard of honour as the players took to the pitch. At half time the Lions and Lionesses took to the pitch for a lap of honour in front of the, near sell out, 20,000 strong crowd. The 70 Lions who made the trip to Leicester got to see a very entertaining game of Rugby and helped to raise valuable funds for the M&J’s. A very big thank you to everyone at Tigers for their support and hospitality.
