The appearance of the famous Webb Ellis Road ground has been greatly improved in recent weeks with KUKA Robotics, main club sponsor of the Rugby Lions, taking a sponsorship opportunity by naming the supporters ‘cowshed’ the KUKA Main Stand. Europe’s largest producer of industrial robots is enjoying another record year, and had been successful in several significant contract awards, inducing sole appointment within Jaguar Land Rover’s prestigious i54 Engine Plant at Wolverhampton.
Ian Walker, KUKA UK’s General Sales Manager commented: “We were originally linked to The Rugby Lions via our Managing Director, Jeff Nowill; an ex-Lions player. Since that point, the exposure we have secured by virtue of the Lions success on the pitch – culminating in May’s Twickenham visit – has been extraordinary. Our customers constantly and incessantly make reference to our ties with the club, and we are delighted to be part of such an upwardly mobile and positive story. Sponsorship of the Main Stand brings a strong KUKA brand presence to an audience that’s captive whilst watching the game. It’s a very positive feedback we receive
